BULLDOG 51 FESCUE

Developed at the University of Georgia, Bulldog 51 has been bred for drought tolerance and heat resistance. These characteristics make it the superior choice for turf grass applications in the South.

TITAN LIMITED TURF TYPE TALL FESCUE

Titan Ltd has something that only a few other tall fescues have, an extensive rhizome system. These horizontal underground stems or “rhizomes” spread out to bare spots and send out new shoots and roots which aid in quicker repair and the ongoing thickening of the turf stand. So even when Titan Ltd. gets knocked around some, the rhizomes constantly act as self-repairing tools, ready and willing to create new plants when needed. Superior disease resistance including brown patch. Excellent heat and drought tolerance. Less disease, less chemicals, less water-Who can resist? Check out the website @ www.titanlimited.com

Bulldog Annual Ryegrass

Bulldog Ryegrass is a diploid annual ryegrass developed for forage use as a winter overseeding in warm season grass pastures. The parentage of Bulldog can be traced to plants selected out of the annual ryegrass varieties-Marshall, Magnolia, and Florida-80. Bulldog has excellent seedling vigor, improved cold tolerance, improved rust resistance, and excellent re-growth after grazing. Bulldog is grown in the state of Oregon, USA, exclusively for Athens Seed Company for distribution throughout the southeastern United States. Plant Bulldog in the fall or early spring. Plant 20-40# per acre for pastures.

Bull Forage Tall Fescue

Endophyte free, Bull is an early maturing variety being a week earlier than KY 31 and has demonstrated high forage yields in the Southeastern US at Kentucky and Mississippi State. Bull has proven to produce high yields as first cutting and subsequent harvests.

BULLDOG GRAZER RYEGRASS

Developed at the University of Georgia, Bulldog Grazer Ryegrass has been specifically bred to mature early in the spring, at least 12-14 days earlier than Annual or Marshall Ryegrass, thereby reducing competition with warm season grasses. Bulldog Grazer features rust resistance plus excellent cold tolerance and high yields. Bulldog Grazer Ryegrass is the preferred choice for hay fields, and overseeding in pastures for winter grazing. If you own cattle, be sure to include Bulldog Grazer Ryegrass in your game plan! Plant at the rate of 40-50lbs per acre. If overseeding, plant 20-25lbs per acre.

PASTO RICO

Mixture of Giant and Common Bermuda Grass for hay or grazing in pastures. Plant in spring or summer 8-10# per acre. Giant Bermuda grows quicker than Common and is therefore mixed with Common to give a quicker stand for grazing and haying within the first year of planting. Giant Bermuda Grass will die out in about 4 years after planting leaving Common which will have taken about 3 years to make a good stand. This is why Pasto Rico is preferable to Common when planting for hay or grazing.

Blackjack Bermuda Grass

Turf-Type Hybrid Bermuda Grass for lawns, or athletic fields.Characteristics of Blackjack Bermuda grass are: Deep green color,
Carpet like density, Extra cold tolerance, Super fine texture,
Superior seedling vigor, and
good shade, drought, and traffic tolerance. Plant Blackjack in spring and summer at the rate of 1# per 1000 sq feet and no deeper than ½ to ¼ inch deep.

Zenith Zoysia #2

Zenith is in the Japonica family, as is Meyer Zoysia, and is similar in many respects, including blade width and color. It is somewhat less dense, thus making it easier to mow and providing a better opportunity for interseeding with tall fescues for year-round color. Zenith grows well in full sun or under light shade, and is presumed to have good cold tolerance. Planted shallow on a newly prepared seedbed and watered frequently, Zenith germinates readily, producing a stand of seedlings in as little as 10 days. Like all Zoysias, it grows and spreads slowly, and therefore seeding rates of one to three pounds per 1,000 square feet are recommended. Even so, users are cautioned to not expect an establishment rate comparable to seeded Bermudas, ryegrasses, fescues and other fast growing grasses.

TifBlair Centipede

Developed by the internationally recognized turfgrass breeding program in Tifton, GA, for low pH soils, high drought tolerance, and exceptional late season color retention - all in a dense, low-maintenance, weed-free turf
